Election Day 2024 deals: How to get deals and free food from Krispy Kreme, Johnny Rockets, more

Election Day 2024 is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and many restaurants and other businesses are offering deals or free food to celebrate the occasion.
While it is illegal to offer favors in exchange for votes, many businesses are taking advantage of the holiday to offer promotions.
Although it is not a federal holiday, it is a state holiday in many states including New Jersey.
Note: Local restaurants and bars may also be offering promotions for Election Day so it is best to check with them directly.
The following restaurants and companies nationwide are offering promotions on Election Day:
Hertz: Get one free rental day when you rent a vehicle for two or more days. Offer valid now through Nov. 5, 2024.
Ikea: Get one free frozen yogurt from Ikea Bistros on Election Day. Must scan this QR code to get the deal.
Johnny Rockets: On Nov. 5, get a free milkshake when you show your “I Voted” sticker at participating Johnny Rockets locations.
Krispy Kreme: Get one free Original Glazed Doughnut on Nov. 5. No purchase or proof that you voted is necessary. However, the chain will be handing out “I Voted” stickers to people who voted early or mailed in their ballots.
Lyft: Get a 50% discount (up to $10) on Election Day rides to the polls. Use the ride code VOTE24 on or before November 5.
Uber: Get 50% off trips to your polling place (up to $10). The app will also help people find their nearest polling place. Plus, Uber Eats is offering 25% off orders up to $15 with a $25 minimum purchase from 6 p.m. local time on Nov. 5, to 7 a.m. local time on Nov. 6.
Yogurtland: Customers with an “I Voted” sticker will get 15% off their purchase on Election Day.
